Experience:
Before joining ASI, Steve was the Regional Security Director for the Americas at a U.S.-based risk management corporation. There, he was responsible for the coordination of evacuations, the provision of advice and the implementation of special security projects for security clients in the Americas region.
Prior to that, Steve served in the United States Air Force where he worked as an intelligence analyst. In his 23-year career, he worked on numerous special projects and programs. He began his career as an academic survival instructor, and then worked in numerous flying squadrons as an intelligence analyst. He was later handpicked to serve in a specialized counter-narcotics unit. This organization was responsible for stemming the flow of narcotics into the United States and the apprehension of known international drug dealers.
For the last eight years of his career Steve served with the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). JSOC serves as the premier counter-terrorism organization in the world. While there, he worked with the U.S. military’s special operations forces, including Navy SEALS and other elite military units. This team was responsible for monitoring every terrorist incident involving American citizens and the apprehension of international terrorists worldwide. He retired from the Air Force in February 2000.
Steve brings his extensive experience in the intelligence arena to ASI, having lived overseas and traveled to more than 60 countries in his military career, including combat experience in Operation Desert Storm, Haiti, Bosnia and Somalia. |
