Michael Butler – Asia Pacific, Australasia
Mr. Butler is the Response Consultant based in Australia for ASI Global, LLC. He acts as the primary case officer for all cases throughout Asia and Asia Pacific. |

Experience:
After a successful career in international sales and marketing, Mr. Butler has focused his efforts over the last 17 years on crisis management. Since 1988, Mr. Butler has successfully handled over a hundred incidents throughout Latin America and the Asia Pacific. Some cases lasting over 18 months. His intimate understanding of risk assessment and his knowledge of security issues relating to executives working overseas broadens his ability to assist in identifying and mitigating the potential impact of these risks to staff and commercial operations.
Post 9/11, Mr. Butler participated in a strategic study of the critical energy infrastructure commissioned by the Department of Infrastructure of the Victorian government. The study was to identify critical energy infrastructures, their inter-dependence and their vulnerability to terrorist attack.
Mr. Butler possesses a unique understanding and knowledge of what corporations and their employees face in high threat environments. While living in Perú, Mr. Butler was subject to bomb attacks against his office, death threats and kidnapping threats against his daughter. As a result he quickly learned how to successfully manage an operation under relatively hostile conditions. |
